Let the City know what you think about possible changes to residential off-street parking requirements by completing this survey. In December, the City Council will consider changes to the amount and type of off-street parking spaces for housing throughout the city.
Like most cities, Berkeley’s Municipal Code requires a minimum amount of off-street parking for all new housing. The current regulations, in place for decades, generally require one parking space for every one unit of housing: a single family house typically must provide at least one space, a ten-unit building must provide at least 10 spaces, and so on.
This survey will ask you to select among options the being considered.
Your response will help shape future development in Berkeley. Please complete this survey by November 29, 2020. For more information, visit the City's Residential Parking and Transportation Demand Management webpage.
