Please help us identify City buildings, parks, sidewalks and other areas that need accessibility improvements.

The City of Sammamish seeks to be a city that is welcoming and accessible to all. The City of Sammamish recently started a process to identify and inventory City public buildings and public rights-of-way, like parks and sidewalks, that may not fully meet accessibility standards. With this inventory we can develop a plan for improving any problem areas over time.

The Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) requires that public entities having responsibility for, or authority over, facilities, streets, roads, sidewalks and/or other areas meant for public use develop a Transition Plan to make their facilities meet accessibility standards. The City expects to complete the Transition Plan in approximately 10 months and provide recommendations to the City Council in June of 2019.

Through this brief survey, we are asking for help from the community in identifying the locations and deficiencies you consider most important. 

This survey should take no more than 15 minutes to complete. At the end of the survey you can also sign-up to provide additional feeback in person to the project team.
