The City Council needs to know how you feel about specific issues, and I, as a city manager, want to make well-informed operational decisions.
So, to expand the feedback we receive, we are launching this Virtual Town Hall, an online tool that lets you submit written comments and respond in a variety of ways from the comfort of your home – or phone!
At a typical City Council meeting, we hear public comment from just seven or eight people. While we greatly appreciate and value their perspectives, we would love to hear from a broader range of residents, including those who are too busy – or too shy – to appear in front of the Council television cameras.
To get us started, our first topic is all about city communications. Do you like the tools we use to keep you well informed? What communication methods would you like us to add? How can we do better? And so on.
