How many vehicles are in your household, total? 1
How many of your vehicles are electric, hybrid, or CNG? None
How many bicycles do you have in your household? 1

Does your employer offer incentives for alternative transportation (discount bus pass, guarantee right home program)? No
If you'd like to use alternative transportation, is there any way the City can help you? e.g. Would additional bike paths or more walkable sidewalks help? Do you have safety concerns? Are additional transit stops needed closer to you? Would educational opportunities on transit and bicycle use help? I'd love to ride my bike to work. It's too dangerous riding across I-8 on Texas/Qualcomm Blvd. The on and off ramps of the freeway put bicyclists in a scary situation. I think many more people would bike from University Heights into Mission Valley if protected bike lanes existed crossing I-8 on Texas St/Qualcomm Blvd. Maybe a bike lane could be added down the center of the street to avoid the on/off ramps?

It's the you can see it from here, but can't get there from here phenomena of Mission Valley. Improved pedestrian access across and through barricades is needed.

If you'd like to use alternative transportation, is there any way the City can help you? e.g. Would additional bike paths or more walkable sidewalks help? Do you have safety concerns? Are additional transit stops needed closer to you? Would educational opportunities on transit and bicycle use help? Additional (and SAFE) bike paths would be very helpful, especially for my husband. We only live 3.5 miles from his work, but riding a bike down Friars Rd is often times very scary. Cars fly by on this stretch of road and are too busy getting on and off the I-15 to pay attention for cyclists. We would also love to bike/walk our dog around the San Diego River, but the path is broken up by major streets with no infrastructure for a bike/pedestrian path. I've always envisioned a pedestrian bridge going over these roads. I work in La Jolla. I'm very excited about the new trolley line that will allow me to take the trolley to work. However, the public transportation schedules need improvement. I work very early in the morning and would like to keep it that way. I'd have to change my work schedule to accommodate the trolley's schedule once it's up and running. The trolley should ideally stop more frequently and run longer hours. To say the least, San Diego has a lot of work to do when it comes to public transportation. We are sorely behind the times, and with more and more people wanting to populate our beautiful city, we need the infrastructure to support them.

The pedestrian bridge to Rio Vista could make my walk less than 0.5 mile to the trolley. I don't feel safe riding my bike at all on any portion of the commute.

Give incentives to Zipcar to expand their service through adding more cars, especially in Mission Valley. Cuttently, there are no Zipcars at all in Mission Valley.
Replace or at least clean the Fashion Valley Transit Center. It is really a disaster, dirty benches and dirty hand rails. Add One Bus Away arrival and departure board to Fashion Valley Transit center, similar to the boards found in airports. With so many visitors to SD using SDMTS, the FV Transit center should be immaculate.
