    I was unable to resign a lease once because they wanted to renovate my apartment so they could up the rent 200 dollars. Now I'm homeless and stay with friends because of it.

    It's an old manufactured home. Once I stayed in a trailer that had no heat in west Asheville. It was so cold that my toilet water froze.

    Homelessness will continue to get worse. There needs to be a cap on rent. Rent control is necessary.
