The City of Asheville is undertaking the process of reviewing and revising the City’s noise ordinance
(Chapter 10 - Article IV). As part of that process, City staff are seeking input to better understand
current noise sources and perceptions toward noise in the city.

Your input will inform City staff, to help them learn how noise is affecting our community. From that input,
staff can hone in on the key noise concerns the community experiences.

Once the key concerns are identified, City staff will engage the community again, to focus in on priority areas.

The input from this survey and all of the City’s engagement on noise, including community meetings,
will inform proposed Noise Ordinance revisions, which will go before Council for their decision.
