The Lawrence-Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is releasing a draft Lawrence Bikeway Plan called Lawrence Bikes. The plan was developed after two phases of public engagement beginning in June 2018 and October 2018. The MPO Bicycle Advisory Committee participated in the public involvement and helped direct the development of the plan.
The public comment period is May 15 to June 14. Following the public comment period, input will be reviewed and the draft plan will be considered for approval by the MPO BAC, MPO Technical Advisory Committee (TAC), and the MPO Policy Board. Also the Lawrence Transportation Commission and Lawrence City Commission will review and consider accepting the plan.
