Do you have feedback on the draft Public Participation Plan?
The Lawrence – Douglas County Metropolitan Planning Organization (MPO) is releasing a revised Public Participation Plan, which serves as a guide to improve the process for involving you in transportation decision making. It recommends methods to engage the public during the regional transportation planning decision making process and states how members of the public can be involved in the transportation planning process. This is a minor update to the plan incorporating procedures and clarifying processes for public input on Transportation 2040 performance measures, Transportation Improvement Program (TIP) amendments/administrative revisions, and future Public Participation Plan amendments.
The draft plan is available for a 45-day public comment period which starts on June 8, 2018 and will end on July 23, 2018. The draft plan can be accessed at: https://assets.lawrenceks.org/assets/mpo/ppp/PPP-DRAFT.pdf. This Plan will come before the MPO Policy Board for approval on August 16, 2018.
