Please review the proposed list of Tamarac’s infrastructure projects that could be funded by the proposed penny surtax and tell us what other projects you’d like to see in the City if funding becomes available.

Thank you for participating!

Thank you for your comments.  Broward County voters decided against the implementation of the penny sales tax.

What does this mean for the City of Tamarac? The City carefully plans and prioritizes projects that we fund in our budget.  As our fiscally responsible management practices provide, we will continue to invest in City’s infrastructure and pace project implementation based on available funding.  While this additional funding source could have allowed us to complete some projects sooner (for example, we often hear from our residents “When will this park be built?” or “When will the buffer walls be complete in my neighborhood”) or to add new projects that you identified; rest assured that we’ll continue to focus on Tamarac’s priorities and plan accordingly.

You may visit the Pardon Our Dust page to view upcoming or recently completed capital improvement projects and their status.  To view the funding plan for future capital projects, please visit our budget site and download the latest budget document.
