Overnight street parking - extra revenue!

Jim Heitzman inside Tamarac
September 4, 2015, 7:17 AM

The city bans parking on neighborhood streets overnight. I hear the complaints from local authorities that there are not enough resources to enforce this. I believe the fine is $25 or so.
On my street alone, there are maybe up to 15 cars on the street, sometimes with empty spaces in their driveway. It's a safety concern for me because I see that emergency vehicles may have a problem getting through because some people are parking on the street parallel to the neighbor across the street.
IF The Broward County Sherrif's Dept needs extra revenue, put 2 cars overnight and you can pay the salary of 10 just by writing tickets.....
