The City of Bozeman is actively seeking public comment in relation to Downtown Parking, particularly with regard to the Draft Downtown Strategic Parking Management Plan.
This website has been created to facilitate public input and provide information about the Downtown Strategic Parking Management Plan, the planning process, and overall schedule. We invite you to explore the website and provide your comments and recommendations regarding the plan.
BACKGROUND: In the fall of 2015 the City of Bozeman retained Rick Williams Consulting to conduct an overall evaluation of the downtown parking system and begin the development of a comprehensive Strategic Parking Management Plan.
The evaluation entailed review of existing parking operations and assets, previous study findings, municipal code review; in-depth discussions and two topic-specific work sessions with the Bozeman Parking Commission (BPC); three public workshops, and individual interviews with key stakeholders. From this process, the consultant is developing a comprehensive draft parking management plan that responds to the unique environment, goals, and objectives of Downtown Bozeman.
The plan draft and its development process are more fully detailed in the full Draft Report (April 18, 2016 v.2.) available here.
