In February 2014, with Trails, Open Space and Parks Bond money, the City Commission approved the 54-acre Story Mill Community Park proposal to purchase land and help develop an active park, trails and wildlife area including a half mile of the East Gallatin River on Bozeman's north side. Over twenty community organizations are partnering with the city of Bozeman and The Trust for Public Land in developing the Park. Bozeman residents have also been highly involved throughout the process. The Trust for Public Land is working to fundraise the additional funds needed to develop the park. Public input is now sought to refine the park conceptual plan at an upcoming community workshop and online here.
