Throughout the year, the Virginia Beach Public Library hosts Community Conversations at the Meyera E. Oberndorf Central Library. These are small group conversations about topics of local and national interest. For future planning, please share your ideas for possible future topics.

Racism is still a prevalent issue in our society today. Unfortunately, history seems to be repeating itself with racial tensions. Especially, here in Virginia Beach.
People are using the 2nd Amendment rights in the wrong way. There needs to be stricter laws in place for purchsing firearms. Not everyone is meant to own a gun.
The population in Virginia Beach is ever increasing and there are too many undocumented immigrants. Plus, it is getting out of control with the influx of illegal immigrants residing in Virginia Beach.
