  • Of the top five topics you rated highest, why are these important to you?
    • I am afraid that the violence in Norfolk may spread to our city
    • I am concerned about racial tension. As a white female, I have been harassed by black females when shopping in predominately black neighborhoods (College Park).
    • I live off of Providence Rd. The traffic around the Indian River Rd area is ridiculous at rush hour. We need a solution. Lots of folks do not want to move to this area because of the traffic.
    • I am not aware of any natural disaster plans the City of VA Beach has in place. I want to be confident that our great city has things in plan to help prepare their citizens for natural disasters.
    • Sea Level rise and flooding has the potential to impact our city greatly. What is VA Beach doing to protect our city from this?
  • If not listed above, what topics would you like to see discussed?
    • Crime - especially burglaries. I think that burglaries in VA Beach are on the rise and I want to know what VA Beach is doing to protect residents from being victims of burglary.
    • I enjoy the Woodstock Cove park in my neighborhood. I would like there to be restrooms at this park. I also want to be reassured that the city will not sell this park to a neighborhood developer that will take the park and build homes on it.

  • Additional Comments:
I left Norfolk due to the rise in crime. I am afraid it will spread to Va Beach. I live in the Woodstock neighborhood.
