The City of Virginia Beach’s franchises for both cable television providers (Verizon and Cox) expire in 2016. We would like to hear from you about your experiences with cable television service. Please take this survey to help us better understand our community’s future cable television needs.

The City of Virginia Beach is gathering information from residents about cable television service, whether you subscribe to cable or not.  Cox Communications and Verizon FiOS are seeking renewals of their cable television franchises. The franchises for both cable television providers expire in 2016. As part of the current agreement, cable companies are required to meet customer service standards related to telephone response time, outages and maintaining a local office. The cable companies are also required to provide the local channels that carry VBTV.
