  • What suggestions do you have for the operating budget?
No light rail or arena. For light rail, the oft referenced referendum, (which I voted for) DID NOT give a "go ahead" for the system. Looking at the responses here & on the Virginia Pilot letters to the editor doesn't reflect what was voted on, even though our leaders feel they have a mandate.
  • Which revenues would you adjust – up or down?
Increase personal property tax on boats.
  • If you adjust revenues, which expenses would you change to balance it – up or down?
Budgets do not have to go up. It is ok to cut spending and not raise taxes, assessment or rates.
  • What suggestions do you have for the 6-year capital plan?
Double, no quadruple the budget for repaving neighborhood streets. Great Neck Road and Shore Drive both need accelerated paving plans.
  • What projects would you add?
Laskin rd projects to remove standing water after ANY rainfall. This has continued for 40 years.
  • Which projects would you remove?
    Light rail. arena.
