    No new playgrounds.
    No new equipment.
Fix the equipment that is there now if it is not good enough but it appears fine to me.
    No water fountains.
    No bathrooms.
    Clean up bamboo.
    Re-grade open areas.
Plant real trees like oaks, chestnuts, and mulberrys that will grow big and strong not ornamentals.
Put in a few more benches.
Intersperse multi-use objects like rocks or sculptures that will stand the test of time.

Arlington spends way too much money on things that are only for a small group of people and are unnecessary. Look around our area. We have plenty of playgrounds now! We have a fancy spray park! We have the trendy play structures! We have special "youth" basketball courts that nobody I can find wants and yet the county says we asked for them! We have soccer fields and baseball fields and enough tennis courts to host the U.S. Open! Maybe we needed more facilities a few years back but we have plenty now, so please stop! It is wasteful and sometimes I wish the new parents asking for this stuff would realize if they asked their kids when they are 30 they won't care one bit if they had a fancy contraption to climb with antibacterial plastic so they wouldn't get a scrape or whether they just had a nice large tree.
