Parks Maintenance Capital Funds in the amount of $1.1 million were made available for the redesign and construction of the playground and sand volleyball court atQuincy Park. Both facilities are extensively used by County residents and are located in the northeast corner of the park (seeExisting Conditionsmap). Thegoal of the project is to create a new playground that uses the principles of universal design -- a play environment for children of all abilities. Play features, safety surfacing, pedestrian circulation, site furnishings, and supporting infrastructure are included in the project scope. Prior to this, two public meetings and anonline surveywere conducted to get stakeholder feedback. The following is a list of features, or “experiences,” that were identified.
