  • Please describe what you LIKE BEST about the preliminary park design.
Great sense of flow and movement through the park.
  • Please describe what you LIKE LEAST about the preliminary park design.
Possibly a little too busy. I like the parallel boardwalk and the stepping path, but do we have room for them both? Maybe.
  • Please describe what is MISSING from the preliminary park design, or provide additional comments.
Its a great concept. Could you put some small trees in the wide sidewalk area at the Rolfe/14th St. corner? Also, I am not sure how the design will encourage protection of the tree. Do we need some type of fencing, say separating the tree and the children's play area?

  • Are there other activities or amenities the site should accommodate?
No, quiet enjoyment and a place for kids to play are the appropriate activities for this amount of space.
  • Please share any other comments.

I think the concept looks great. I think that what will really make the park are the selections of plantings that accompany the shade of the tree. I think its good to limit the dog amenity area. Realistically, if people want to let their dogs have exercise, they will have to go elsewhere.
