"The children are our future..."It is said that the value of team sports teaches our children "competence, confidence, connections, character, and caring. At the heart of this is self-esteem – an increased sense of self as a result of better social interactions, stronger relationships, and higher academic performance." As a mother of 2 daughters raised in the Seminole area, I truly believe that team sports highly contributed to the successful and caring adults my daughters are now.

Citizens, more specifically, residents, need more tangible results with their tax dollars. Youth need access to healthy outlets. This is a worthy cause for taxation that will pay dividends in the future and build trust with all stakeholders. It will work to prove that local government can directly invest in future generations.

We would like to understand the reason for your answer. Please briefly explain why you support or oppose the proposal, or why you are undecided. We live in The Bluffs in Largo near the Indian Rocks Rd / West Bay intersection. The near coast communities in Largo, like ours, have either Belleair or Seminole sports fields nearby (within 5 miles) as an option for practice and games. Seminole has the larger facilities that are able to accommodate the increasing population that is moving to Seminole, Largo, and surrounding towns.
