The City of Piedmont is developing Objective Design Standards to guide the appearance and quality of future housing. These standards apply to most new housing developments, including duplexes, multi-family, mixed-use, and SB9 projects, as well as Accessory Dwelling Units (ADUs). Objective standards are measurable, enforceable, and provide a clear framework for both applicants and the City.
We are seeking input from community members, architects, and designers to help shape standards that reflect Piedmont's character while allowing for thoughtful growth. Your feedback will help ensure new construction respects the qualities residents value most.
