Community Services and Facilities Element
Most cities, including Palo Alto, utilize a document called a General Plan to guide preservation and development decisions in their municipalities. We have named our document the Comprehensive Plan, as it is the repository of our collective community values and aspirations, and gives us tools to manage growth and change. The City Council has asked all of us to participate in a process that will update our current Comprehensive Plan, which was last updated in 1998. In order to fully understand the community’s hopes for the document, your ideas and comments are needed.
The Digital Commenter tool allows you to provide your ideas and thoughts on the current Comprehensive Plan easily by scrolling through the document and clicking on the areas where you want to comment. Your comments will be reviewed by a recently-formed Citizens Advisory Committee, made up of your neighbors, colleagues, family and friends who will provide guidance and support to the continuing process. Next year, the draft document, supported by your thoughtful suggestions, will be given to the City Council for review.
Below you will see a green bolded prompt called “All Ideas”. This prompt will take you to the Community Services & Facilities Element, where you can comment on the document and see what your fellow residents have said (when you see a bubble on the left side with a number in it like this , that means someone has commented on this specific portion of the element)
