What are the priorities you would like to see the City Council adopt for 2025?
Each year the City Council reviews and selects annual priorities at their Council Retreat, which usually occurs in early January or February for the year ahead. A Council priority is defined as a topic that will receive significant attention during the year and typically have a three-year time limit, although some may continue beyond that time.
The 2024 Priorities, as selected at the City Council’s Annual Retreat on January 29, 2024, are:
- Economic Development & Transition
- Climate Change & Natural Environment – Protection & Adaptation
- Housing for Social & Economic Balance
- Community Health, Safety, Wellness & Belonging
Progress reports and workplans for each of these priorities can be found at www.cityofpaloalto.org/councilpriorities. In addition, the community can find past priorities and other updates on past efforts. The City values your feedback. Input received will be provided to the City Council in preparation for their annual meeting set for Saturday, January 25.
