Show us how you take climate action in our community! Celebrate Earth Month by sharing photos of local actions you take to reduce your emissions and protect the environment.

Contest Details

Submit photos inspired by the focus areas of the Sustainability and Climate Action Plan (S/CAP): Climate Action, Energy, Electric Vehicles, Mobility, Water, Climate Adaptation and Sea Level Rise, Natural Environment, or Zero Waste. Winners selected from each category will receive City of Palo Alto swag and will be featured on City of Palo Alto social media.

Participants have until April 30 to submit their photos.

Submission Guidelines

• Limit (5) entries per individual
• Photos must be taken within Palo Alto
• Contest open to Palo Alto residents only
• Keep filters and editing to a minimum
• Read the full photo contest rules, terms, and conditions

How to Submit Your Photos

1. Sign in or register for an Open Town Hall account if you want your photo to be entered into the contest.
2. Answer the first question regarding how you would like your photo to be shown. (Note: If you select “No - just show it without my name to staff,” your entry will not be eligible to win the contest.)
3. Upload your photo and add a caption. 
4. In the box titled “Statement,” write the S/CAP category that inspired your photo. (Note: If you do not include a category, staff will designate a category for your entry.)
