What are your thoughts about actions the City of Norfolk should take to address the COVID-19 crisis?
Mental health services for those who have lost jobs as well as for their family. I would imagine this is the first time in many of their lives they have faced unemployment to this magnitude. Second establish a commission regarding affordable safe housing. Norfolk does not have an abundance of safe affordable housing to begin with. It takes forever for vouchers to be approved. It’s heartbreaking so many have been impacted by the fallout of the Pandemic. Young families, the elderly, business owners, restaurants, department and boutique shops, service industry staff. The businesses need assistance to enable them to reopen. If they are unable to reopen, it’s starts a chain reaction of negatives. The unemployment in Norfolk will not improve, housing, medical coverage, food and children’s issues with meals, food & medical care needs will continue.
Are you the owner of a microbusiness/microenterprise, defined as five or fewer employees including the owner?
No
