1. What are your top priorities for housing in your neighborhood in the next 10 years? For example, climate resilient housing; resilient utility assistance; zoning changes to allow granny flats; etc.

Retention of single family zoning.
More parks and trails and open spaces to support a vibrant neighborhood.
2. What is something in your neighborhood that you are proud of, and you would like to see more of in Norfolk? For example, great neighborhood parks; walkability; a very active community; etc.

Retension of traditional architectural character. Retention of single family zoning.
1. What do we need to add to our streets to make them safer and more walkable? For example, more street trees for shade; more transit options closer to where people live; traffic calming at key intersections; etc.

Traffic calming features in areas where speeding is a known issue. Focus there and this will lift those areas into safe areas people feel safe.
More trees and open spaces. Park space on the Lafayette River to focus on this asset.
Improve the vitality of Lafayette Blvd into a thriving corridor with renovated housing, new affordable housing, infill mixed used with shops, eateries and housing above with an improved streetscape.
2. What improvements do you think will make Norfolk more pleasant and people-oriented, place to walk around, gather with your neighbors? For example, more meaningful public art on the streets, more youth-oriented spaces, neighborhoods with local retail & services, etc.

Create park space on the Lafayette river north of Barruad Park in the Fairmount Park area
Create more trail connections including utilizing paper streets
Create more pocket parks for areas of the city that have little or no open spaces available--some passive and some should be active based on size ect.

In areas with high degrees of flooding, create open space that overflow water can be directed too to minimize flooding during storm events

Create and foster small businesses--maybe this can be done by other existing businesses to grow a supportive business community
Focus on defunct old C-2 zoning areas that could be ripe for investment for new small businesses and support area neighborhoods

2. How can we grow healthy industries that provide jobs to Norfolkians? For example, create mixed-use developments on existing brownfield land; bring transit to target areas; attract businesses that provide specialized training within the first year of hiring; etc.
