Remember, we have been in lock down for the past year. So, we have not been able to get out and do what we normally did a year ago. I live in Albemarle area and when I have called 911 in 2019, there is no one there to pick up the telephone. You are told do not hang up, to hold on -- that last from 5 to 8 minutes. Are the Norfolk Police short handed? Can citizens help out in any way? Can you hire some of those police persons that are leaving other northern states? I hardly ever see a police car or person in my area. May see them sometime on Tidewater Drive -- otherwise, where are they? What about starting the monthly meeting on Tuesdays, since the Governor has completely opened the State of Virginia. I am sure all the police personnel have received their COVID-19 shots and so has the people in Albemarle neighborhoods.
Anything that we can do to support our Norfolk Police, let us know. We all have to work together to have a protective Norfolk City and to appreciate our Norfolk Police Department.
