Do you have any comments or suggestions about this statement?
The tagline is catchy. The statement sounds great, but it is too long and it isn't entirely true. While Main St. & Alamo do have some wonderful quaint shops, and the Melting Pot is a big attraction for my friends in other cities, Main St it also has View House and the Tavern, so I think you need to scratch "quaint shops and cafes" because it isn't true. Compare Littleton Main Street to Main Street in Crested Butte. I think Crested Butte could use the statement "quaint shops and cafes," but it does not accurately describe Littleton. This statement is also disjointed when I think of what is currently provided for, for this area, in the ULUC. The proposed changes under the current ULUC do not support the vision depicted by this paragraph.

I like the second half of the statement, starting with "It's no wonder that.." but I am uncomfortable with the first two sentences because again - by adding 3 and 4 story buildings per the ULUC, "Grand mountain vistas mingling with quaint buildings on Main St" will not be true because you will no longer be able to see the mountains from many areas of the city. Where do we celebrate the history of the Old West in Littleton, other than during Western Welcome Week? Maybe replace the red and yellow directional signs with something more western?
I would also play up our historical buildings and the mid-century modern buildings - the city has a lot of potential with both of those categories! We have some really neat buildings that just need a little polish and some PR to really shine.

I recommend also mentioning the farms with the museum. The farms are a popular destination among my friends who live elsewhere, who have children. Also, without a public parking garage, I suggest directing people to the downtown Littleton light rail station. That is simply the only enjoyable way to travel to downtown because parking near Main or Alamo is frustrating for me. Perhaps two different marketing campaigns for Hudson, Aspen Grove, etc. vs downtown, makes sense for this reason? It would be hard to visit both downtown and Hudson in the same trip without a car..
Overall, which of the three statements most appeals to you? (Please consider the full statements, including the headlines and accompanying text.)
Statement beginning with, “Where connections are made”
Which of the three statements is the second most appealing to you?
Statement beginning with, “The small town with big escapes”
Do you have any other comments on the statements, or on the city’s visitor branding efforts?
On the above statements, my response to"Highlights aspects of Littleton that I would want to experience on a future visit" is a 4 and it is true - the statements are well-written to convey this feeling. But I do not think these statements are truthful, people's visit will not live up to the statement and they'll be disappointed. The statements evaluated in this survey are written well to describe a town like (as mentioned) Crested Butted or Manitou Springs. Littleton is not that. Littleton is a haphazard mix of new (View House, Vida) and old a few darling buildings like the Theater. New and old can exist together well, and I have faith it can be done better in the future.
