How many times a week do you visit downtown, on average?
Is this definition: Littleton's Community Character leads to a sense of individuality via a combo of land use, placement of new buildings and their relationship to the street, sidewalk & parking, street patterns, a varied built environment reflective of the city's history, & a robust natural area.
Would you add or change anything to the definition?
The sense of individuality doesn't make sense to me in context. Perhaps using another word like place. Land use seems to be a non-sequetor, and the placement of new buildings perhaps is an opportunity to revise. Perhaps stating
"Littleton's downtown Character is a combination of placemaking that encourages the contextualization of historical structures with new development, respecting their relationships to the pedestrian, while providing a unique and varied built environment that respects the city's history, strong community, and abundant natural surroundings.
What do you like about downtown right now?
The restaurants, shops, holiday lights, activities like the criterion, the light rail, and the overall community feeling. The streetscape is good, but need connectivity with the neighborhood, light rail, and the other side of santa fe.
What, if anything, would you like to see downtown that isn't there now?
Diversity of restaurants, better public spaces, parking, intentionality in development, better zoning with a purpose.
What concerns do you have about downtown?
The lazy zoning allowing wood-framed medium density development that is ugly (stucco/ modern/ alley access) and poor neighbors. The fact there's no plan for future transportation or parking is a strategic issue. We need office use to ensure we can leverage the resources we have. Our fair city deserves long term planning which provides for all our community needs, which we may not have right now.

Do you foresee any challenges in this process to transition to the ULUC?
There are many challenges and as an Architect, I'm looking forward helping in any way I can. I love Littleton and it's taken 6 years to understand how it's special. Thank you for doing this.
