Tell us about the best times you have had in and around Downtown Littleton. Thinking about that experience, what was involved that made is stand out above the rest? Who else was involved? Can you please describe this in detail?
I have for many years enjoyed the Western Welcome Week parade. I also had a good time watching the Twilight Crit. A group of my friends and I enjoy a meal out in downtown once a month. HOWEVER, this is being spoiled by the necessity to drive around and around looking for parking.

Downtown Littleton (for the most part) has small locally-owned businesses, not chains.
Values & Vision (Part 2): When you are downtown, what makes Littleton stand out from other communities of similar size/demographic?
I like the variety of businesses, and the contained nature of downtown.
Three Wishes: What three wishes would you make to heighten the vitality and health of Downtown Littleton?
1. STOP building more high-density housing near downtown. The vitality of the businesses means that parking is already at a premium. Sure, the folks in the high-density places can walk to downtown, but if they decide to throw a party for 10 friends at their place, then 10 desperately needed parking spaces disappear. If there are 5 parties going on, no one can enjoy anything downtown.
2. On the side streets, use a little paint and mark the parking spaces. Oftentimes, parking places are lost because folks leave too much space between cars.
3. Stop inviting in chain restaurants. We have enough. Invest in locally-owned businesses instead. And if you're going to declare something "historic," make sure that it truly is. OR put everyone on a level playing field regarding the parking requirements. Parking in downtown is a NIGHTMARE on busy evenings, and even during the day.
