Tell us about the best times you have had in and around Downtown Littleton. Thinking about that experience, what was involved that made is stand out above the rest? Who else was involved? Can you please describe this in detail?
I am a Littleton native (when I was growing up in the 1970s and 1980s, my friends and I would walk downtown to the soda fountain at Sell 4 Less) who LOVES our downtown. It's what sets Littleton apart from the other suburban communities around Denver. I am downtown all the time, throughout the week, to take exercise classes at Motion on Main Street or to grab coffee at Spur or pick up dry cleaning at Littleton Cleaners or to mail a package at the Post Office or to shop at Savory - the list goes on and on.
Values & Vision (Part 1): What do you value most about Downtown Littleton?
I love the recent economic development - restaurants, shops, etc. - that make downtown feel like a destination, not just a place to drive through on the way to somewhere else.
Values & Vision (Part 2): When you are downtown, what makes Littleton stand out from other communities of similar size/demographic?
We are authentic! We're not a synthetic subdivision created by a group of developers with a marketing team - downtown Littleton is a real downtown with a real history and is used by real people. Unlike Parker or Lakewood, we have a "there" there. Plus we have a killer view from the top of Main Street.
Three Wishes: What three wishes would you make to heighten the vitality and health of Downtown Littleton?
Parking
Support for retail (broader marketing support of downtown Littleton)
Residences to make downtown livable (but planned better than the monstrosity now on top of the hill by the courthouse)
