How should the City of Littleton address its responsibility to the regional housing crisis?
Allow STR's and ADU's. Littleton is in a unique position where we have time to implement rules and regulations for these that will allow the community to grow in a sustainable and healthy way. STR's/ADU's and the option to cash flow your property are the ways in which younger people will realistically be able to afford to purchase a home in Littleton. My husband and I are paying our mortgage through the use of an STR on our property. While we want the City of Littleton to grow in a healthy way, we also are passionate about preserving the unique charm of the city, which drew us here in the first place. I believe there is space for both, and sincerely hope that we can work with the city to promote home affordability, tourism, and small businesses here in Littleton for generations to come.
