    • Other - Apartments and rental units are not affordable housing. They make the developers and landlords wealthy while making the tenants beholden to raising rents. Thoughtfully designed areas with smaller homes and lots that maintain Littleton’s character.
  • Could a wider range of lot sizes, including smaller lots for smaller houses, be acceptable?
    • Other - Yes but you need to look to the older neighborhoods for inspiration. They have so much character and that’s why everyone wants to live here.

Littleton is not independently responsible for the regional housing “crisis”. And it’s ridiculous to think it’s our responsibility to take on and provide housing for such a large amount of people. Littleton will cease to be the extremely desirable small town if you keep this up. Stop wasting all of the land for massive apartment complexes that bring in thousands of families and choke the traffic infrastructure. Instead develop some of the land wisely with smaller single family homes and by maintaining and respecting open space and the reasons people love Littleton. I’ve lived here less than 3 years and the over construction of apartments in that short time is shocking. Look to the older established neighborhoods to see why Littleton has been so desirable.
