Are there any park features that you would like to see added to Southbridge Park?
Tennis return wall that can provide multiple uses- tennis practice, lacrosse practice, baseball pitching. A multi use turf field would be a fantastic feature. With a turf field you can then provide additional recreational activities as well as instructional classes for niche activities (ie- archery class, field hockey etc). This could provide more community options as well as bring in additional revenue for department. Environmental features would be a great idea, things such as a community garden to provide locally grown vegetables for community members. An outdoor small amphitheater feature would also be great for the community. Small concerts could be hosted with local musicians. Keeping in mind the potential for long term social distancing, outdoor safe activities would be beneficial for community.
New play structures for children ages 2-5 & 5-12 years are being proposed. Which playground equipment option do you prefer?
Are there any park features that you think should be left as they are?
