  1. Humboldt County has been identified as a potentially ideal location for offshore wind energy generation. A number of promising sites for land-based wind energy farms have also been identified.

  3. Redwood Coast Energy Authority is the sole purchaser of electricity for customers in Humboldt County. PG&E still delivers our power, but RCEA decides where that power comes from. Currently, they purchase renewable energy from a variety of sources within the region and elsewhere in the state.
