We take our kids to the county parks several times a month. One of the declining benefits of living here in Humboldt. The kids can explore the outdoors, and we as a family, get to enjoy the beauty Humboldt Co. has to offer. We purchas a yearly pass to enjoy all the spots for day use, which cost money. We could not afford to pay a fee each time we visited especially in the summer, when we visit a county park, on average, three times a week! Please figure out a way to keep the county parks operated by the county.
How would you rate the condition of facilities at County parks? (Facilities include roads, trails, parking areas, camp sites, boat ramps, restrooms, signs, and picnic tables.)

Should Humboldt County consider demand-based pricing (raising camping fees when demand is higher, reducing fees when demand is lower)?
Should Humboldt County consider day-use fees at Clam Beach, or other parks currently without fees?
What would be the impacts if certain County parks are closed?
The parks would not be maintained and people would would still use them and the condition of the parks would drastically decrease. Plus, people living here and visitors to our area would miss out on the splendor that is Humboldt.

What changes or improvements would you like to see at County parks?
If budget is an issue, I do not think this is the time for changes or improvements. A question was asked about raising camping fees $5,$10, etc. I am not sure what the fees are currently, but raising camping fees slightly, or raising day use fees to $5 at all county parks currently charging fees may be a good idea.
