    I live in downtown Eureka and feel splitting of downtown and Eureka’s commercial area between two districts does not represent my community. West and north Eureka have a lot in common in terms of opportunities and challenges and should in my view be kept together as a district.

    I appreciate the communities of the Samoa Peninsula being under the same district as they face the same challenges of sea level rise and economic development and have been working together through community initiatives on cross-peninsula issues.

    Full county comment - Draft A appears to give much more representation in multiple districts to far flung rural areas sacrificing the community connectedness of downtown Eureka.
