    Splitting up Eureka in this way looks a lot like gerrymandering. It would drastically change the political slant of the districts in favor of conservatives.

    This is the best one because it keeps contiguous areas together without changing the current districts a lot.

    Please don't adopt a map the changes the political nature of the districts. The communities of interest represented by the cities in Humboldt are important. The drafts that put Eureka with Arcata combined working class renters with college student renters and they have very little in common.

Open Humboldt is not a certified voting system or ballot box. As with any public comment process, participation in Open Humboldt is voluntary. The responses in this record are not necessarily representative of the whole population, nor do they reflect the opinions of any government agency or elected officials.
