Bridge to Beach District Plan Community Survey
The Bridge to Beach District serves as the gateway to Hilton Head Island’s south end, bridging the Island’s north and south via the Charles E. Fraser Bridge. This district is a cornerstone of the Island’s economic, cultural, and environmental identity, blending a vibrant mix of businesses, residents, and visitors. As the primary job hub of Hilton Head, the district is home to over 500 businesses and supports more than 5,000 jobs, making it essential to the Island’s vitality.
This district is part of the Districts Area Planning Project, which seeks to shape its future by enhancing economic opportunities, improving infrastructure, preserving natural and cultural resources, and fostering a strong sense of place.
Geographically, the district's northern boundary is defined by the Charles E. Fraser Bridge over Broad Creek. To the east, it is bordered by the Wexford and Shipyard Planned Developments, while its southern core revolves around Sea Pines Circle, extending to Cordillo Parkway and the Sea Pines Forest Preserve. The district's western edge stretches along Point Comfort Road, reaching the salt marshes of Calibogue Sound, creating a stunning backdrop to this essential area of Hilton Head Island.
This survey should take about 10 minutes to complete - a small amount of time to have some big impact. Your opinions and knowledge are very important as we move into the next phase of this planning and as we work with the district community to make decisions about next steps. Thank you for your time and thoughtful ideas.
