Good evening and thank you for the professional management of Gilpin County during this pandemic.
As we all have realized, with the loss of income from the casinos, our school district has severely suffered. When are you going to get back to
to all of the tax dollars collected going to the Gilpin County school instead of Boulder County? It seems crazy after all these years that the board has not implemented the process to stop sharing tax dollars with a different County and watching our beautiful School crumble. From lack of tax dollars. Please help the children of Gilpin County and correct this teax nightmare.

Will Colorado make Testing Kits more widely available in order to better track the virus and better develop the response? If so, what does that timeline look like?

While I appreciate Ms. Becker's response...since the Casinos are the majority employer and major source of county revenue...I would expect the County Commissioners to be able to answer this question specifically. Listening to Gov. Polis, he addressed that restaurants and bars are to remain closed but did not mention the casinos. Specifically, are the casinos still closed after April 26th? If so, are the commissioners in communication with both the Governor and the Casinos as to how and when they will be open? Original question: Are the casinos now closed until mid-May?

A study published in the Wall Street Journal and USA Today determined Gilpin County’s economy will be the hardest hit from coronavirus of any county in the entire United States. Put on top of this the Denver Metroplex project which Gilpin County Commissioner Linda Isenhart supported in her email of July 22, 2019 where she wrote to Andrea Christensen, the DIA Noise Officer "I’ve lived in Gilpin County for over 34 years and am located approximately 2.5 miles from Donna Okray Parman’s property. We don’t hear much in the way of air traffic from our address, just so you know. I think it’s like the trains going through Rollinsville or the cars along Highway 119: these are sounds of our everyday lives and transporting people and goods from one place to another. We need to have some tolerance for these noises as they are part of the heartbeat of our country."
Given the above what will Joe Neguse, who got the FAA to clear Boulder County's airspace with the supposed unintended consequence of putting most if not all the Boulder County flyovers over Gilpin County, do to save us from ourselves since we seem intent on electing self-destructive Democrat County Commissioners? You may be trying to get Gilpin County and the Casino employees Federal funds but what about getting the FAA to not destroy our peace, quiet, and property values Congressman Neguse??
As for the Commissioners...Why not change the Zoning so other commercial interests could build here without the ridiculous 100 foot setback and other onerous zoning restrictions on building either commercial or residential?? Or how about opening up the Zoning to allow Gold Mining (environmentally responsible of course) again?? You can do something other than beg your betters while crushing the citizens under your zoning boot.
