The City of Flagstaff is currently developing a citywide Property Care Ordinance (PCO) (also commonly known as a Property Maintenance Ordinance or PMO) to put before city council for a vote later this year. The request for an ordinance was petitioned by citizens and seed money was allocated by the City Council.
The purpose of the ordinance is to protect against hazardous and deteriorating conditions that negatively impact the health, safety, and welfare of the Flagstaff Community by establishing minimum requirements for the care of buildings and their property; to preserve existing housing stock, and slow the impacts of gentrification and displacement; with compliance consistently applied without undue hardship.
As part of the ordinance development process, the City of Flagstaff is seeking to gather input from citizens on the property care issues that matter to them. Please answer the following survey questions to the best of your ability.
