7. What location(s) would you like better pedestrian access to or through? (Be as specific as you can be) At the end of the survey is a map where you can put location specific information. There's no crosswalk on Kapalua and Bradshaw neighborhood. It makes it increasingly difficult to get across the street - you either have to dodge cars in the bike lane (not so fun with a toddler) or walk all the way down to the bond and Bradshaw intersection to cross at the lights, then walk through other neighborhoods to get safely across to that side. Any sort of pedestrian access to pleasant grove elementary would be amazing as well. It takes longer to drive there and pickup kids than it would've to walk, but its not walkable.
Please pin walking impacts within the City.

The trails are great but they are too short for any real bicycle exercise. When riding to work down Laguna from Elk Grove-Florin to I-5 I ride on the sidewalk because the streets are not safe for cyclists.

All roads around the schools at pick up and drop off. Reliable transit would help. We live in Laguna West. My son enjoyed coming home on his own from Eddy until the bus routes changed so what had involved about 1/3 a mile of walking changed to requiring about 1.5 miles of walking, which was too much with a heavy backpack. After that change, I had to pick him up. One more car on the road.

I live in Laguna West and would bike to areas east of the railroad tracks if there were protected bike lanes on either Laguna Boulevard or Elk Grove Boulevard, but the railroad overpasses do not feel remotely safe, although the green paint is appreciated. Let’s make Elk Grove a bikeable city!
