I try to buy less packaged items and reuse containers and plastic bags as much as possible and return them to the store or use them for crafts. I am going to the refill store. I wash all recyclable items before I put them in the container

What would you like to see changed or improved about your trash or recycling collection service?
A better suitable trashcan bearproof. The old one with the stub on top of the lid was better than the new ones. The bears kick the cans around and they never land on the lid but on the sides and damage the black knob and break the mechanism. I have arthritis in my fingers too and the knob is almost impossible to turn. The ones with the lever function after several tries. It takes two hands to open the cans so you always have to set your trashbag down to open the lid then hold the lid with one hand or fold it back before you can lift your trash in it. Also the new cans are very heavy empty.
