As a condition of receiving certain federal housing and community development funding, the City of Vallejo is required to adopt a “Consolidated Plan.” The Consolidated Plan is a five-year planning document required by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) that is intended to address the City’s housing and community development needs. The City’s next Consolidated Plan will include the period beginning July 1, 2020 and ending June 30, 2025. According to the City’s Citizen Participation Plan, before a draft of the Consolidated Plan is prepared, the City will hold at least one public hearing to gather information and receive comments on housing and community development needs in Vallejo. This will also provide an opportunity for residents and other interested parties to comment on how the City’s CDBG Program and HOME Program funds may be used in FY 2020-21.
