Help the DPW Select Locations for Food Waste Drop-Off Bins!

Brookline’s Department of Public Works will launch four food waste drop-off bins across Town in the summer of 2024! These rodent-proof drop-off bins will be available to Brookline residents at no cost and accessible 24/7. This pilot program is part of a larger effort to increase access to composting and divert waste away from incineration. All food waste collected will be converted into a nutrient rich compost, which improves soil health and reduces air pollution.

We are calling upon the residents of Brookline to help us decide where these bins should be located. 3 drop-off bins will be located in North Brookline and 1 will be located in South Brookline. Please select your preferred locations out of the options listed.
