In 2013, the Air District’s Board of Directors approved the Air District’s Public Participation Plan (2013 Plan) which was developed in collaboration with an External Stakeholder Advisory Task Force comprised of representatives from community-based organizations, environmental groups, and industry representatives. The 2013 Plan specifically called for 45 actions the Air District could implement to improve its communication and engagement with stakeholders.
Our Shared Journey Toward Meaningful Community Engagement: Where We’ve Been & How We’re Navigating the Road Ahead Together (Our Shared Journey) provides a summary of the Air District’s implementation of the 2013 Plan while also shining a spotlight on where we are expanding our community engagement strategies and policies.
As we continue to expand our efforts to reduce air pollution and create a healthy breathing environment for all people in the Bay Area, we humbly ask you to take a few moments to read Our Shared Journey and complete our short survey to help inform our community engagement.
