Atherton City Council will hold a public hearing to receive public input, in addition to the online feedback received on Open Town Hall, regarding regulating operation of unmanned aircraft systems within the Town.
This Public Hearing will be part of the Regular Meeting of the Atherton City Council, which is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 at Atherton City Council Chambers, 94 Ashfield Road, Atherton.
A copy of the proposed ordinance is available for review by contacting the City Clerk at [email protected].

The Town of Atherton has developed a Bicycle & Pedestrian Master Plan to improve bicycle and pedestrian safety and to connect with neighbor municipalities. We already have green bike lanes at some intersections.
What are your thoughts about additional green bike lanes?

The Town is currently designing new lighting circuits for the Lloyden Park and Lindenwood neighborhoods to replace the old high voltage series circuitry that currently power the lights.
We want your feedback on the overall look of the light fixture and the quality of light they emit.

Atherton Council is exploring regulations surrounding small unmanned aircraft systems (sUAS) also known as "drones." The Federal Government allows local agencies to regulate drone activity for non-commercial activity below a certain elevation (typically 400 feet).
Community feedback is welcome, specifically covering issues related to privacy and noise.
Council discussed a flat ban on all drone activity then considered how drones are used by children, or wedding photographers, etc. Help ensure that any regulations adopted are fair.
