Emergency Communication
How do you find out about emergencies?
This topic is closed
When an emergency occurs, the Town uses multiple channels to relay information to the community. These range from the low-tech (e.g. signs posted along the street) to the latest social media apps. Here are the major ways the ways the Town communicates during an emergency:
- www.ci.atherton.ca.us (the Town's website)
- News Flashes (the Town's News Flashes)
- Telephonic Notice (robocall)
- Facebook and Twitter
- County Reverse 911 (emergency alerting system)
- Nixle
Do you use any or all of the above? Have one outlet you like best? Staff are interested in learning more about how residents prefer to receive their emergency communications. Please click on "Take the survey" below to have your say.
