Share ideas for the development of a Center of the City Commons.
PURPOSE
Through this survey, the Center of the City Task Force invites you to share ideas for the development of a “Center of the City Commons.” Your input is essential to determine how the future Commons will best serve the entire community.
This survey will be open until December 6, 2019.
BACKGROUND
Last November, voters approved Proposal A to amend the City Charter, which states that City-owned land within what is known as the Library Block, “shall be retained in public ownership, in perpetuity, and developed as an urban central park and civic center commons known as the 'Center of the City.” Since then, City Council formed the citizen-led Center of the City Task Force to help determine the future of this area. This survey is part of our initial outreach, to you as a “shareholder in the commons” to share in this unique opportunity for all of us in Ann Arbor to design and create together the Center of the City -- for now, and for generations to come.
